This is a key role to help drive implementation of data governance policies, standards, control frameworks, and operating models that align with industry standards, regulatory expectations, and the firm’s risk management objectives. Success in this role will be measured through effective implementation of sustainable data governance standards and effective data governance controls to mitigate data risk. What you will be responsible for Work with business and technology partners to understand how data is created, moves between systems, and is used in day-to-day operations. Investigate discrepancies between system data and operational reality, identify root causes, and work with the right teams to resolve them. Understand data models and flows well enough to explain issues and their business impact to technical and nontechnical audiences. Translate data governance policies and control requirements into practical processes, tools, and guidance. Document workflows and turn complex processes or business needs into clear requirements, instructions, and decisions. Partner with delivery teams to define requirements, review solutions, validate results, and support adoption. Sound judgment and the ability to turn broad goals or ambiguous requests into a clear plan and useful deliverables. Experience improving a process or helping a team adopt a change.
