Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Messaging & Identity Engineer to support and evolve our enterprise email and identity infrastructure. This role will focus on Microsoft 365 (Office 365), Exchange (Online and/or Hybrid), and secure email gateways such as Cisco IronPort, with additional responsibilities supporting Entra ID (Azure AD) and on-premises Active Directory. The ideal candidate will also bring hands-on experience leveraging AI tools and automation to improve operational efficiency, security posture, and user experience. Key Responsibilities Email & Messaging Infrastructure Administer and support Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online) and hybrid Exchange environments Manage email routing, hygiene, and security using Cisco IronPort (or similar secure email gateways) Troubleshoot mail flow issues, delivery failures, and performance bottlenecks Configure and maintain email authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) Manage distribution lists, shared mailboxes, and enterprise email policies Support journaling, retention, and compliance requirements Security & Compliance Monitor and respond to email-based threats (phishing, spoofing, malware) Implement and maintain secure email configurations and policies Partner with security teams on incident response and threat mitigation Identity & Access Management Administer Entra ID (Azure AD) including user provisioning, SSO, and conditional access policies Support and maintain on-prem Active Directory, including synchronization (Entra Connect) Manage identity lifecycle processes and access governance Troubleshoot authentication and directory-related issues AI & Automation Integration Leverage AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, automation platforms, scripting with AI assistance) to: Improve operational workflows and reduce manual effort Enhance troubleshooting and root cause analysis Automate repetitive administrative tasks Identify opportunities to integrate AI into messaging, security, and identity operations Stay current with emerging AI capabilities within Microsoft and enterprise IT ecosystems Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Work cross-functionally with security, infrastructure, and application teams Document systems, processes, and improvements Participate in on-call support rotation as needed Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in enterprise email/messaging environments Strong expertise in: Microsoft 365 / Office 365 (Exchange Online) Exchange Server (hybrid experience preferred) Cisco IronPort (or similar email security gateways) Experience with Entra ID (Azure AD) and on-prem Active Directory Solid understanding of: Email protocols (SMTP, DNS, MX records) Email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration Familiarity with email security best practices and threat mitigation Preferred Qualifications Experience implementing or supporting AI tools in IT operations Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot or similar AI platforms Experience with identity governance and conditional access policies Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., eDiscovery, retention policies) Relevant certifications (Microsoft 365, Azure, Security, etc.) What We’re Looking For A problem-solver who can operate both tactically and strategically Someone who doesn’t just maintain systems—but actively improves them A candidate who is curious about AI and already using it (or eager to) in their day-to-day work Qualifications Bachelors - Computer Engineering, Bachelors - Database Management, Bachelors - Information Systems, Bachelors - Information Technology, Bachelors - Network Engineering Certifications Blockchain Technology & Management - Amity Future AcademyAmity Future Academy Required Skills Agile Methodology, Apple Mac OS, Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Cloud Assessment, Cloud Strategies, Collaboration Tools, Design Thinking, Executive Presence, IBM AIX, IBM Rational ClearCase, Inclusion, Microsoft Azure Advanced Threat Protection, Oracle WebLogic, Personal Effectiveness, Storytelling Language English (Required) Language Proficiency - Proficient - C2 Additional Job Location - Job Type Regular Master Skill List - Infrastructure Services N Remote Type - Office Work Shift - Day Job (India) Why join Genpact? • Lead AI-powered transformation – Drive innovation and solve real-world business challenges that matter • Make an impact – Help global enterprises solve business challenges that matter • Accelerate your career – Gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and world-class learning opportunities to stay ahead • Work with the best – Join 140,000+ bold thinkers and problem-solvers who push boundaries every day • Thrive in a values-driven culture – Our courage, curiosity, and incisiveness - built on a foundation of integrity and inclusion - allow your ideas to fuel progress Come join the 140,000+ coders, tech shapers, and growth makers at Genpact and take your career in the only direction that matters: Up.
