As a Scheduling Innovation & Automation (SIA) Engineer, you will lead and drive strategic Best Known Method (BKM) projects across manufacturing, engineering, automation, and scheduling organizations. This role combines deep semiconductor manufacturing domain expertise with advanced analytics, automation, and scheduling optimization capabilities. The successful candidate will act as a cross-functional project leader to identify productivity improvement opportunities, develop innovative solutions, benchmark global best practices, and deploy scalable automation initiatives across Micron manufacturing sites. You will work closely with Production, OMT, Manufacturing Engineering, AMHS, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, IT, and global site partners to improve operational efficiency, manufacturing productivity, cycle time performance, and factory intelligence. Key Responsibilities Lead cross-functional and cross-site BKM projects to improve manufacturing productivity and operational excellence. Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency. Develop and enhance scheduling strategies using MAS, simulation tools, and data-driven methodologies. Identify production constraints and propose systematic solutions to improve throughput, cycle time, and WIP flow. Lead manufacturing optimization projects such as: Scheduling Optimization Train Size Optimization AMHS Productivity Improvement Q-Time Management Production Automation Capacity Optimization Lost Time Reduction Simulation & Digital Manufacturing Agentic Solution Partner with global sites to benchmark and deploy best practices across Micron manufacturing networks. Analyze large data sets to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities. Develop dashboards, reports, and automation tools for operational decision-making. Facilitate project reviews, stakeholder alignment, and executive-level presentations. Coach manufacturing organizations in adopting new scheduling methodologies and automation solutions. Support future smart manufacturing initiatives including AI-driven scheduling, digital twins, and intelligent factory systems. Required Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or above in: Industrial Engineering Electrical Engineering Computer Science Data Science Information Systems Statistics Mathematics Operations Research Related Engineering disciplines 1+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Semiconductor Manufacturing Production Planning & Scheduling Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Engineering Factory Automation Data Analytics Preferred Qualifications Experience leading cross-functional projects. Experience working in semiconductor manufacturing environments. Experience with production control, scheduling, capacity planning, or factory operations. Experience driving continuous improvement projects with measurable business impact. Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and production constraints. Experience collaborating with multiple organizations and stakeholders across global sites. Strong presentation and communication skills. Self-driven mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities. Strong ownership and ability to influence without direct authority.
