Role Overview: This Industrial Electrician role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge automation machinery in a fast-paced, project-based environment. You will be responsible for building and wiring custom automated systems for a variety of industries—meaning no two projects are ever the same. What You'll Bring: High school diploma or equivalent required Related vocational or technical education preferred Minimum of one year of electrical experience required. Experience may include electrical work in construction, residential, commercial, industrial, or manufacturing environments. Journeyman's card preferred Basic computer proficiency Intermediate knowledge of schematic interpretation, panel building, machine wiring, and electrical troubleshooting Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with a strong focus on safety and quality Ability to accept direction and complete assigned tasks while working independently and as part of a team Ability to maintain a steady work pace while bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working on, around, and beneath machinery Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required Ability to obtain Hi-Lo (Forklift), Aerial Platform, and Overhead Crane certifications, as well as Lockout/Tagout training, while employed at JR Automation Ability to provide personal hand tools and a toolbox appropriate for the position (a recommended tool list will be provided) Previous JR Automation experience or experience within the automation industry is strongly preferred Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including domestic and international travel, depending on project requirements Disclaimer: JR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check.
