Job Summary: This job establishes overall business or technical strategy for risk management, influences executive-level decision-making through strategic risk assessments, partners with stakeholders to implement risk reduction strategies, monitors risk exposure, and leads initiatives for long-term sustainability and resilience. Monitor and analyze risk exposure to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Lead initiatives that contribute to long-term sustainability and resilience in the face of uncertainty. Minimum Qualifications: 10+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications : Additional Information: Leads the first line of defense control testing function while monitoring risk exposure and control effectiveness. Direct risk-based testing of control design and operating effectiveness across the business's control environment, including annual planning, scoping, and coverage decisions. Serve as the primary point of contact to second line Risk and Compliance, Internal Audit, and regulators on first line testing activity, including reliance discussions and examination support. Demonstrated experience building, or materially scaling, a control testing function, ideally within a regulated financial institution’s first line of defense. Deep working knowledge of the three lines of defense model, as well as the practical distinctions between 1LOD testing, 2LOD independent testing, and Internal Audit.
