As a CloudOps & FinOps Engineer at Cat Digital's Slovakian branch, you will help operate, optimize, and govern Caterpillar's cloud environments while enabling engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and cost-efficient digital products. You will: Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure and shared services across AWS and Azure. Drive cloud cost visibility, governance, and optimization through FinOps best practices. Monitor cloud usage, performance, reliability, and security. Develop and maintain automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in cloud environments. Collaborate with engineering, security, and business teams to improve operational excellence and cloud efficiency. This position works directly with Slovakia-based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT teams in the US. What you have: Experience operating cloud environments in AWS and/or Azure. Understanding of CloudOps, FinOps, cloud governance, and security best practices. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or similar). Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins. Experience with cloud monitoring, observability, and incident management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience working within an Agile environment. Top Candidates will also have: Experience with cloud cost management and FinOps tools. Experience supporting multi-account AWS or multi-subscription Azure environments. Familiarity with cloud security and governance platforms. Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools. Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of API platforms such as Apigee, AWS API Gateway, or Azure API Management. AWS certification.
