Job Summary The Data Scientist will support and lead analytics initiatives within the supply chain, logistics, and transportation domains. This role is responsible for developing analytical models, generating insights, and enabling process partners through effective use of advanced analytics tools and techniques. The position is based in Bangalore and reports to the Analytics Manager. What You Will Do Lead analytics and optimization projects across transportation, logistics, supply chain, network design, and transportation modeling domains. Develop and enhance transportation models and digital supply chain solutions to optimize costs, improve service levels, and support strategic decision-making. Analyze transportation and logistics data to drive network optimization, freight efficiency, carrier performance, and cost reduction opportunities. Build robust data pipelines, ETL processes, dashboards, and visualizations to support modeling, forecasting, and operational decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable analytical solutions and drive continuous improvement, automation, and innovation in transportation analytics. What You Have: Domain Expertise Knowledge of Supply Chain, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Transportation Modeling, Logistics Optimization Technical Skills Strong proficiency in Python for AI/ML, optimization, analytics, and automation. Experience with SQL, data engineering and data integration. Working knowledge of AI/ML, Generative AI, Operations Research, and predictive analytics. Experience developing dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI or similar tools. Values‑Based Competencies (VBCs) Intermediate to advanced proficiency in: Integrity & Trust Building Inclusive Relationships Customer Focus Problem Solving Priority Setting Decision Making Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related fields. 4–6 years of experience in logistics analytics, transportation, optimization & simulation, machine learning, or AI. Strong proficiency in Python and SQL/SAS Experience using MS Office tools and standard statistics/data visualization tools. Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and project management skills. Ability to work collaboratively in team settings with high attention to detail. Desired Qualifications Basic working knowledge of supply chain optimization tools (e.g., BY Transportation Modeler, Supply Chain Guru, or similar). Experience developing data science solutions in Python (ML, AI, Optimization). Skilled in Microsoft Office 365.
