As a Communications Specialist in Schertz, Texas, you will own and be responsible for developing, coordinating, editing and planning internal communications across multiple platforms in support of Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD). You will work closely with the IPSD communications team to support approvals, metrics and tools. What You Will Do: Collaborating with global internal stakeholders and advising on the suitability of approaches for communication efforts through communication plans and strategies. Tracking and analyzing metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal communications. Ownership of division communications vehicles which includes writing, editing and distributing internal materials such as newsletters, websites, employee meetings, etc. Creating content for employee communications channels; ensuring that messaging and branding are consistent across all channels. Content will range from articles and videos, to interviews, Q&As, infographics and presentations. Developing and distributing communications materials, such as written communications, video production, presentation materials, etc. to deliver key messages. Managing multiple projects simultaneously while focusing on details, deadlines and prioritization. Supporting the development and delivery of communications for the IPSD HR Director and global HR team. What You Will Have: Establishing and Maintaining Trust: Knowledge of developing and maintaining trust; ability to develop trusting relationships and provide solicited, respected and valued perspectives to clients/peers that guide thinking, facilitate issue resolution and enhance client/peer capabilities. Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. Communicating for Impact: Knowledge of the concepts, tools and techniques for effective listening and communicating; ability to apply these theories to receive, transmit and accurately interpret information and ideas to influence others in various situations. Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way. Internal Communications: Knowledge of techniques and media for internal communications; ability to produce and distribute news, newsletters and other communications materials targeted at the employees. Multimedia Technologies: Knowledge of multimedia publishing technologies and procedures; ability to use installed audio, visual and animation software tools to produce multimedia publications. ​Degree Requirement Degree or equivalent experience Additional Information: The primary location for this position is Schertz, TX. Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify Sponsorship is not available Must be able to travel up to 15% (Domestic) Candidates must be able to provide samples of work (writing, graphic design, video, etc.) Summary Pay Range: $89,210.00 - $133,810.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
