Your Team, Your Impact The Board Product Engineering team's core mission is to develop and implement effective board manufacturing strategies that support the needs of Marvell's various Business Units (BUs). Marvell is seeking a motivated Summer Intern – Board Product Engineering to support board-level product engineering activities during the summer internship program. This role provides hands-on exposure to new product introduction, board assembly, manufacturing test, supplier coordination, and product readiness activities for advanced hardware products. What You Can Expect The intern will work under the guidance of experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to help track engineering builds, collect and analyze manufacturing data, document issues, support readiness reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement activities. This summer internship is intended for students who want practical experience in hardware product engineering and manufacturing operations. Support board-level product engineering activities for prototype and pre-production hardware builds. Assist with tracking engineering build milestones, action items, risks, and readiness status. Help collect, organize, and summarize data from board assembly, inspection, manufacturing test, and validation activities. Support documentation of build issues, failure symptoms, corrective actions, and lessons learned. Work with hardware design, operations, test engineering, quality, reliability, and supply chain teams to support NPI execution. What You’ll Learn How board-level hardware products move from prototype builds into manufacturing readiness. How engineering, operations, quality, reliability, and supply chain teams work together during new product introduction. How to organize build data, track issues, summarize technical findings, and communicate status to engineering teams. How manufacturing test, validation, and failure analysis activities support product readiness. How to contribute to engineering documentation, lessons learned, and continuous improvement efforts in a real product development environment What We're Looking For Currently pursuing a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Basic understanding of hardware products, printed circuit boards, electronics manufacturing, or product development processes. Coursework or project experience related to electronics, circuits, embedded systems, manufacturing, or mechanical design is preferred. Ability to organize technical information, summarize data, and communicate clearly. Comfortable working in a team environment and learning from engineers across multiple disciplines and regions. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, basic scripting, lab equipment, and CAD tools is a plus. Strong interest in hardware product engineering and manufacturing Curiosity and willingness to learn Attention to detail and good documentation habits Basic analytical and problem-solving skills Good written and verbal communication Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Self-motivated, organized, and able to follow through on assigned tasks Expected Base Pay Range (USD) 24 - 48, $ per hour. The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
