Assistant Manager - US Taxation (Form 1040/1041/1065/1120)

Join Thomson Reuters' Tax & Tax Software team as an Assistant Manager, where you will leverage your US Tax Compliance expertise to support tax operations, process improvement initiatives, and tax technology solutions. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in the preparation, review, and e-filing of US tax returns who are looking to broaden their exposure to project management and tax technology. About the Role: In this role, you will: Manage and coordinate tax-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals. Apply your expertise in US tax return preparation, review, and e-filing processes to support operational and technology initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve tax workflows, quality, and efficiency. Support maintenance, updates, and testing activities for SurePrep and other tax applications. Troubleshoot system and process-related issues and ensure timely resolution. Monitor project progress, manage risks, and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Support client-specific requirements and drive process improvement initiatives. Contribute ideas to enhance software functionality and promote AI-driven efficiencies. About You: You're a fit for the role if you have: 8+ years of experience in US Tax Compliance, including preparation, review, and/or e-filing of Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, and/or 1120. Strong understanding of US tax processes, compliance requirements, and filing workflows. Experience leading projects, teams, or process improvement initiatives within a tax environment. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Flexibility to support business requirements during peak tax season. Experience with tax software such as SurePrep, CCH Axcess, GoSystem, UltraTax, ProSystem fx, or similar platforms. Exposure to tax technology, automation, or workflow optimization initiatives. Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL. Experience working with CPA firms, public accounting firms, or tax outsourcing environments. #LI-GS1 What’s in it For You?
