Role Overview: As an Apprentice, you will work alongside a qualified Elevator Mechanic to master the trade. This role is designed for individuals who want to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and high-stakes mechanical and electronic systems. Key Responsibilities: Technical Training: Familiarize yourself with the basic workings of elevators through site visits and formal guided learning. Systems Integration: Learn how electronic and mechanical systems work together, connecting components to form complex vertical transport systems. Digital Innovation: Utilize digital tools, specifically IoT applications , to monitor and diagnose equipment functions. Preventive Maintenance: Assist in carrying out regular maintenance visits on contracted equipment and conducting rigorous safety device checks. Safety Compliance: Adhere to Otis’s world-class safety standards, ensuring every task is completed with zero compromise on quality or safety. Construction & Installation Experience: Gain hands-on experience in the Construction Department, supporting elevator installation, testing, commissioning, electrical wiring, equipment assembly, system calibration, and final setup activities under the guidance of experienced professionals. Candidate Profile We are looking for candidates who are hardworking, loyal, and show initiative. To be successful, you should meet the following: Age: Must be at least 18 years old. Digital Literacy: Comfortable using electronic devices and digital diagnostic tools. Soft Skills: Excellent communicator, optimistic, and a strong team player. Mindset: A deep interest in pursuing a career as an Elevator Mechanic/Installer and a willingness to study for official qualifications.
