Software Development Engineer - II (SDE-II)

As a Software Development Engineer II at Clappia, you will build and scale core platform capabilities used by businesses across industries. You will work across the stack and contribute to designing reliable, high-performance systems. **Key Responsibilities**: * Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications across frontend and backend systems * Take ownership of end-to-end feature development from requirement understanding to deployment and monitoring * Contribute to system design and architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability * Work with a modern tech stack including Angular, Node.js, TypeScript, Ionic, Material UI, NoSQL databases, and Elasticsearch * Build and optimize microservices in a serverless, AWS-based architecture * Work with modern AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor to significantly improve productivity and ship features faster * Write clean, efficient, and well-structured code following best practices and coding standards * Debug production issues, improve system performance, and ensure high availability of services * Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions **Requirements**: * 2+ years of experience in software development with a focus on full-stack web applications * Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and complexity analysis * Hands-on experience with at least one modern frontend framework such as Angular or React * Good understanding of backend development and RESTful APIs * Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms, preferably AWS * Understanding of web fundamentals including security, session management, and performance optimization * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle ambiguity * Demonstrated curiosity to learn and build through side projects, contributions, or practical work **About Clappia** Clappia is a no-code platform that enables businesses to build customized mobile and web applications without dealing with underlying technical complexity.
