Practise the Senior Test Automation Engineer – Healthcare / DICOM at Algoshack Technologies interview free →**About the Role** We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Playwright-based automation and DICOM/healthcare workflows. The role involves building and maintaining scalable automation solutions for healthcare and medical imaging applications, validating end-to-end DICOM workflows, and ensuring product quality across releases. The ideal candidate will have strong automation and programming skills, experience with Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript, and a solid understanding of DICOM and healthcare imaging workflows. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Design, develop and maintain scalable automation scripts using Playwright. 2. Automate end-to-end healthcare and medical imaging workflows. 3. Validate DICOM ingestion, processing, output and data integrity. 4. Compare expected/golden DICOM outputs with test outputs using key attributes and metadata. 5. Automate DICOM workflows such as DICOM Send → Processing → DICOM Receive → Validation. 6. Validate AI/ML results and scorecards stored within DICOM data where applicable. 7. Perform UI, API, integration, regression and functional automation testing. 8. Identify regressions, analyze automation failures and perform root-cause analysis. 9. Manage test data, configurations, test environments and automation dependencies. 10. Collaborate closely with Development, Product and DevOps teams to understand workflows and resolve quality issues. 11. Contribute to automation framework development, maintenance and continuous improvement. 12. Participate in code reviews and follow automation best practices. 13. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on automation practices. **Required Skills & Qualifications** 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. 2. 4+ years of experience in software testing, automation or software development. 3. Strong hands-on experience with Playwright. 4. Strong understanding of DICOM fundamentals, data flow and healthcare/medical imaging workflows. 5. Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript. 6. Strong understanding of UI and API automation testing. 7. Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks. 8. Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 9. Strong communication and collaboration skills. 10. Ability to work independently and provide technical guidance to other team members. **Good to Have** 1. Hands-on experience with **Python** for automation and scripting. 2. Experience with PACS, RIS, Medical Imaging, Radiology or Viewer applications. 3. Knowledge of HL7 or other healthcare standards. 4. Experience testing AI/ML-based healthcare applications. 5. Experience with Node.js and Playwright. 6. Exposure to CI/CD, Jenkins or GitHub Actions. 7. Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS or GCP. 8. Experience with performance or non-functional testing. **Preferred Domain Experience** Candidates from Healthcare, Medical Devices, Medical Imaging, Radiology, PACS, RIS or Diagnostic Imaging environments are preferred. **DICOM experience is mandatory.**
