The Backend Developer on the Engineering team is responsible for the implementation, design, architecture and quality control of business integrations/general development within the customer-facing product application and internal tools used by development technical operations. This includes troubleshooting bugs and implementing new features as required in existing backend applications; even building new components as needed. A successful Backend Developer will produce all required functionality in a timely manner and will communicate and work with colleagues to solve problems and improve the systems they work with. **Here's a closer look at this key role:** Key Responsibilities - Design scalable cloud-native architectures for Kubernetes monitoring. - Lead development of Kubernetes monitoring agents and telemetry pipelines. - Build highly available backend services for metrics, logs, events, and traces. - Design and optimize OpenTelemetry Collector configurations and pipelines. - Develop integrations with Kubernetes APIs and cloud-native ecosystems. - Improve performance, scalability, and reliability of telemetry ingestion systems. - Lead technical design reviews and mentor junior engineers. - Drive engineering best practices, testing, and code quality. - Collaborate with Product, Architecture, QA, and SRE teams to define technical roadmaps. **What You'll Need:** - 5 to 6 years of software development experience in commercial or enterprise application. - BS or above degree in computer science or related field. - Familiar with latest Java/Go/Python development framework and open-source tools. - Required Skills Programming - Java (preferred), Go, or Python - Object-Oriented Design - REST APIs - Multithreading and Concurrency - Data Structures & Algorithms - Kubernetes / Docker - AWS **Nice to have** - Azure, Google Cloud experience - Docker / Kubernetes - Python / Ruby / Go experience - Familiar with Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, BitBucket) - Openshift *Click [here ](https://www.logicmonitor.com/careers/eea-recruitment-privacy)to read our International Applicant Privacy Notice.* ***LogicMonitor is an Equal Opportunity Employer** At LogicMonitor, we believe that innovation thrives when every voice is heard and each individual is empowered to bring their unique perspective.
