Senior QA Engineer

**About the Role** We are seeking a hardcore Senior QA Automation Engineer to drive quality and reliability across our entire technology stack. Your primary mission is to build, scale, and maintain robust test automation frameworks for our consumer web storefronts, mobile applications, and backend systems. While your foundation must be rooted in traditional, high-rigor automation, you must also be a forward-thinking engineer. As we increasingly integrate AI into our products and workflows, you will be expected to learn, adopt, and eventually champion Agentic AI tools, both to accelerate your own QA processes and to validate our upcoming GenAI features. **What You Will Do** **Core Test Automation (The Primary Focus):** * Framework Architecture: Build and scale highly maintainable automated testing frameworks from scratch for Web and Mobile (including Flutter or native apps) using modern tools like Playwright, Cypress, or Appium. * API & Backend Validation: Conduct rigorous backend testing for high-throughput REST/GraphQL APIs. Ensure data integrity across distributed systems, payment gateways, and backend operational platforms (such as ERPs). * Omnichannel E2E Testing: Design comprehensive test suites that validate complex user journeys from the frontend consumer touchpoint all the way through to backend order fulfillment and inventory systems. * CI/CD Integration: Embed automated test suites into cloud deployment pipelines (e.g., AWS, GitHub Actions) to act as reliable gatekeepers for zero-downtime releases. **AI Integration & Future Readiness:** * AI-Assisted QA: Actively explore and integrate AI coding agents (like Cursor or Copilot) to accelerate test script generation, automate edge-case discovery, and build self-healing tests. * GenAI Feature Testing: Partner with the engineering team to design testing strategies for upcoming AI-driven features (such as automated customer support chatbots or internal AI assistants), moving beyond strict binary assertions to evaluate probabilistic outcomes. **What We Are Looking For (Must-Haves)** * Experience: 4-5 years of proven, hands-on experience as an SDET or Automation QA Engineer in a fast-paced environment. * Programming Proficiency: Strong coding fundamentals in TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or Java. * Tooling Expertise: Deep practical knowledge of UI automation (Playwright/Cypress) and Mobile automation (Appium). * API Testing: Extensive experience using Postman, RestAssured, or custom scripts to validate complex API architectures and database state changes. * Adaptability: A strong willingness and readiness to learn GenAI concepts, LLM architectures, and how to test non-deterministic AI systems. **Nice to Have** * Prior exposure to GenAI or Agentic AI testing (e.g., prompt validation, evaluating RAG pipelines, or testing AI tool-calling). * Domain experience in E-commerce, Retail Tech, or omnichannel supply chain systems. * Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and containerization (AWS, Docker).
