Over the last 8 years we have helped tens of thousands of people live better lives across 45 countries. **Role Overview** We are looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer - Mobile to build and scale high-quality mobile experiences at Amura Health. You will work primarily with React Native across both Android and iOS, partnering closely with Product, Design and Backend teams to build reliable, performant and user-friendly applications. This role is ideal for an engineer who takes ownership, solves problems independently and uses AI-assisted development to build, test, debug and ship software faster without compromising engineering quality. **What you'll do :** ● Build, enhance and maintain React Native applications for both Android and iOS. ● Build features involving APIs, real-time updates, chat, notifications, local storage and data synchronisation. ● Develop scalable and maintainable mobile architecture with strong focus on performance, reliability and code quality. ● Develop scalable and maintainable mobile architecture with strong focus on performance, reliability and code quality. ● Work closely with Product, Design and Backend teams to translate requirements into simple, effective mobile experiences. ● Diagnose and resolve performance issues, crashes, bugs and production problems. ● Implement secure handling of user data, authentication and API communication. ● Write unit, integration and UI tests and contribute to reliable release processes. ● Own features end-to-end, from understanding requirements and development through testing, release and iteration. ● Use AI coding tools to accelerate development, debugging, testing, code reviews and technical problem-solving. ● Proactively identify technical challenges and recommend practical solutions. **What We're Looking For :** ● 5 to 6 years of hands-on mobile application development experience. ● Strong professional experience with React Native and TypeScript. ● Mandatory: Experience building and maintaining applications for both Android and iOS. ● Strong understanding of React Native architecture, mobile app lifecycle, state management, API integration and performance optimisation. ● Experience working with REST APIs, authentication, local storage, push notifications and asynchronous data flows. ● Experience debugging and resolving Android/iOS-specific issues and production bugs. ● Good understanding of mobile security, data handling and secure API communication. ● Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot or similar to improve engineering productivity. ● Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently own and deliver features. ● Good product thinking and attention to detail. **Good to Have :** ● Experience with chat, voice, video or real-time communication features. ● Experience building AI-powered mobile experiences or integrating AI/LLM-based features. ● Experience with mobile analytics, crash monitoring and performance monitoring. ● Familiarity with CI/CD and automated mobile releases. ● Experience working on healthtech, consumer apps or products handling sensitive user data. **Here are answers to some questions you may have:** **Where is your office?** Chennai (Velachery) **Work Model** Work from Office – because great stories are built in person! **Do you have an online presence?** https://amura.ai (we are @AmuraHealth on all social media) **For better insights:** https://drive.google.com/file/d/11UHgXqYc7XSJ3IAdFyEm-EurgOzqsmzA/view?usp=sharing
