Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior GCP Data Engineer with 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-scale data platforms. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Google BigQuery, Apache Airflow, and Dataform, along with hands-on experience in building scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, and cloud-native analytics solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize enterprise data warehouse solutions using Google BigQuery. Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Apache Airflow. Build and manage SQL-based data transformation workflows using Dataform. Design dimensional data models to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence. Optimize BigQuery performance, partitioning, clustering, and query execution for cost efficiency. Integrate data from multiple sources including APIs, databases, cloud storage, and streaming platforms. Implement data quality checks, validation frameworks, and monitoring processes. Collaborate with Data Scientists, BI teams, and business stakeholders to deliver analytical solutions. Troubleshoot production issues and optimize pipeline performance. Implement CI/CD best practices for data engineering workflows. Ensure data governance, security, and compliance across cloud environments. Participate in architecture discussions and mentor junior data engineers. Required Skills 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering. Strong hands-on experience with Google BigQuery. Extensive experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration. Hands-on experience with Dataform for SQL-based data transformations. Strong SQL programming and query optimization skills. Experience building large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines. Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of data governance, security, and access management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills Experience with Google Cloud Storage (GCS). Knowledge of Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataproc, or Cloud Composer. Experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks. Python programming for automation and pipeline development. Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Familiarity with Looker or Power BI. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
