About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior AI & Security Intelligence Engineer to help advance the artificial intelligence and intelligence-processing capabilities of Kodaowl's cybersecurity platform. This is a hands-on engineering opportunity for someone passionate about developing production-grade AI systems, intelligent data processing, and scalable software solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate with our engineering team to develop AI-powered capabilities that analyze complex security information, identify meaningful relationships, explain risks, and generate actionable recommendations. The role offers considerable technical ownership and an opportunity to influence the evolution of an emerging AI-native cybersecurity platform. Key Responsibilities Artificial Intelligence Development • Design, develop, and integrate AI-powered capabilities into an existing SaaS platform. • Build intelligent systems for analyzing, interpreting, and correlating complex security information. • Develop AI-assisted decision-support and recommendation capabilities. • Implement contextual reasoning and intelligent automation workflows. • Enhance the accuracy, reliability, explainability, and performance of AI-generated insights. • Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable AI services. Security Intelligence Engineering • Develop intelligent data processing and enrichment capabilities. • Design mechanisms for correlating information from multiple security sources. • Enhance vulnerability analysis, exposure intelligence, and risk prioritization. • Develop capabilities for identifying relationships between assets, vulnerabilities, and security findings. • Support evidence-based security assessments and remediation recommendations. • Improve the quality, consistency, and traceability of security intelligence. Platform Integration • Integrate AI capabilities into existing application services and workflows. • Collaborate with application and infrastructure engineers. • Develop scalable APIs and backend services. • Optimize system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. • Contribute to architecture decisions, engineering standards, and technical documentation. • Support testing, deployment, and production readiness. Required Qualifications • Extensive professional experience in software engineering, artificial intelligence, or related disciplines. • Strong experience developing and deploying production-grade AI applications. • Proficiency in backend development and API integration. • Experience with machine learning, generative AI, or intelligent data processing. • Strong understanding of scalable software architecture and distributed systems. • Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise or SaaS applications. • Ability to independently design, develop, test, and deliver reliable software. • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience developing cybersecurity, risk management, or security analytics solutions. • Familiarity with vulnerability management, exposure analysis, or security intelligence. • Experience developing intelligent automation and decision-support systems. • Understanding of cloud-native applications and multi-tenant SaaS architectures. • Experience working in early-stage technology companies. • Previous technical leadership or architecture experience.
