Senior AI Engineer

**Role Overview:** We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer to join FOXO and help build intelligent, scalable, and reliable AI systems that transform healthcare delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in multi-agent AI systems, LLM applications, agentic workflows, and AI-driven automation, with a proven ability to take AI solutions from concept to production. You will work closely with product, engineering, and clinical teams to develop AI capabilities that enhance clinical workflows, improve operational efficiency, and deliver meaningful healthcare experiences. **Key Responsibilities:** * Design, develop, and deploy multi-agent AI systems using LLMs, agent orchestration frameworks, and tool-calling architectures. * Build intelligent, autonomous agent workflows capable of reasoning, planning, task execution, and collaboration between specialized agents. * Develop production-grade AI applications using technologies such as Python, LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or equivalent frameworks. * Integrate LLMs with APIs, databases, knowledge bases, enterprise systems, and external tools. * Implement RAG pipelines, vector databases, embeddings, prompt engineering, and context management. * Design AI systems with strong focus on reliability, observability, scalability, latency, and cost optimization. * Evaluate and improve agent performance through testing, benchmarking, monitoring, and continuous iteration. * Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and clinical stakeholders to translate healthcare use cases into AI-powered solutions. * Follow responsible AI, data privacy, security, and healthcare-specific quality standards. **Requirements:** * 5+ years of professional experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, Applied AI, or a closely related field. * Proven hands-on experience building and deploying multi-agent systems or agentic AI applications in real-world production or advanced project environments. * Strong understanding of LLMs, foundation models, AI agents, tool use, function calling, and agent orchestration. * Proficiency in Python and experience developing production-grade backend or AI services. * Practical experience with one or more agent frameworks, such as LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or equivalent. * Strong experience with RAG, vector databases, embeddings, prompt engineering, and LLM evaluation. * Experience integrating AI models with APIs, databases, cloud services, and enterprise applications. * Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with Docker and CI/CD practices. * Strong problem-solving, system-design, debugging, and communication skills. **Good to Have:** * Experience designing multi-agent architectures for complex workflows and decision-support systems. * Knowledge of model fine-tuning, structured outputs, memory architectures, and advanced context engineering. * Experience with AI observability, evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop systems. * Familiarity with healthcare data standards, clinical workflows, and responsible AI practices. * Experience taking AI prototypes into reliable, scalable production systems. * Experience in healthcare, health-tech, clinical AI, or other regulated domains is highly desirable. **Why Join FOXO:** * Build impactful AI solutions at the intersection of healthcare and technology. * Work on challenging, real-world multi-agent AI problems. * Collaborate with cross-functional product, engineering, and clinical teams. * Shape the next generation of intelligent healthcare experiences. * Be part of a mission-driven team transforming healthcare delivery through innovation.
