In 2024, Google selected LearnTube for its AI First Accelerator, further fueling our growth. Alongside investment from funds of visionaries like Reid Hoffman and Naval Ravikant, we set out on a mission to reimagine how billions will learn and grow. **What You'll Do:** - Build and scale high-performance Rust microservices handling ~800 requests/second today, growing to 3x capacity within a year while holding sub-200ms p95 latency - Power the quiz-scoring and AI-tutor engines that process millions of learning events every day - Write safe, concurrent async services using Tokio, and profile CPU, memory, and latency hot paths - Design scalable, secure backend systems using Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, and SQS - Deploy containerized services via NGINX on AWS and GCP Kubernetes infrastructure - Own GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including clippy, tests, and optimized release builds, so we can ship to production several times a week - Drive reliability toward 99.9% uptime with Prometheus and Grafana monitoring - Build LLM inference and vector-search endpoints in collaboration with the AI team - Identify performance-critical paths in existing services and rebuild them in Rust where it makes a real difference - Take features from design to production within two weeks **Must-Have Requirements:** - 4+ years of backend development, with at least 2 years writing production Rust - Strong grasp of ownership, lifetimes, traits, and error handling, plus async Rust with Tokio - Hands-on experience with a web framework such as Axum, Actix-web, or Warp - Experience with Rust data and serialization tooling (e.g. sqlx, SeaORM, Diesel, serde) - Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration - Production experience with GitLab CI/CD and AWS (EC2, S3, SQS) or GCP (GKE/Compute) - SQL/NoSQL expertise (Postgres, MongoDB) and solid system design fundamentals **Nice-to-Have Skills:** - gRPC (tonic) and protobuf-based service contracts - Python interop (PyO3) or experience migrating services from Python/Node to Rust - Kubernetes at scale, Terraform - Kafka or other streaming systems - AI/ML inference services experience (LLMs, vector databases, embeddings) - Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, tracing crate) **How We Hire** No take-home. No whiteboard trivia. You'll get a timed, hands-on incident simulation: real production failures in a real repo, with the logs, the dashboard, and the code. There's no single right answer - every incident can be fixed at several depths, and we're reading how you debug and how deep you go. Here's the link for you to get started on it - https://workat.learntube.ai/tech/rust **The Team** Google's Top 20 Startups to Watch. Google AI First Accelerator '24. Backed by funds of Naval Ravikant, Reid Hoffman, and founders/CXOs from Udemy, Flipkart, Jupiter, PayU, Edmodo & Inflection AI. Featured on CNBC-TV18. 11–50 people building something that changes how people learn, permanently. **Why work with us**: state-of-the-art generative AI on a backend you own. Full ownership from ideation to deployment. Direct access to founders and advisors, including the CTO of Inflection AI. Three years of growth packed into one, and Monday morning meetings you actually look forward to.
