Manual Tester / QA Engineer (Mumbai Work from Office)

## About the Role We are looking for a **Manual Tester / QA Engineer** with 0–2 years of experience who has a strong understanding of software testing, excellent attention to detail, and a problem-solving mindset. We want someone who goes beyond simply following test cases. You should be able to **think like a user, question requirements, explore edge cases, and identify issues that others may miss**. Freshers with a strong interest in software testing and technology are welcome to apply. ## What You'll Do * Understand product requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases. * Perform **functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing**. * Conduct **positive, negative, boundary-value, and edge-case testing**. * Test web and mobile applications across different browsers, devices, and user scenarios. * Identify functional, UI, validation, usability, and workflow-related issues. * Report bugs clearly with detailed descriptions, evidence, and steps to reproduce. * Retest resolved issues and perform regression testing to ensure fixes do not introduce new problems. * Work closely with developers and product teams to improve overall product quality. * Proactively identify potential risks and issues before they reach users. * Think beyond predefined test cases and explore how real users may interact with the product. ## What We're Looking For * Strong understanding of **Manual Testing, SDLC, and STLC**. * Good knowledge of test case design and the defect lifecycle. * Strong logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to identify scenarios beyond predefined requirements and test cases. * Good understanding of functional and exploratory testing. * Familiarity with **Postman and basic API testing**. * Basic knowledge of **SQL and database testing**. * Familiarity with **JIRA or similar bug-tracking/project management tools**. * Strong attention to detail and a sense of ownership for product quality. * Good written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to document test cases and defects clearly. * A curious mindset and willingness to continuously learn, experiment, and explore. ## Bonus Skills The following would be an added advantage: * Knowledge of **Shopify or e-commerce applications**. * Practical experience using **AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude**. ## What You'll Gain At Thalia Technologies, you won't be limited to testing a single product.
