Lead Fullstack Engineer

Our products operate in clinical environments and must meet high standards of accuracy, reliability, and data protection. We are scaling our platform and are looking for technical leaders who can guide teams while remaining hands-on. **Role Overview:** We are looking for a **Lead Full Stack Engineer** who combines strong technical depth with leadership. You will be responsible for guiding technical direction, mentoring engineers, and ensuring successful delivery of complex initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role, not a people-manager-only position. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Technical Leadership - ● Own and drive technical design decisions across frontend and backend systems. ● Review and approve architecture and design proposals. ● Ensure systems are scalable, maintainable, and secure. ● Set and uphold engineering standards and best practices. ● Evaluate, guide, and set guardrails for the responsible use of AI-assisted development tools to improve team productivity and code quality. 2. Delivery & Execution - ● Lead the delivery of complex, cross-cutting features and initiatives. ● Break down ambiguous product requirements into executable technical plans. ● Identify technical risks early and proactively mitigate them. ● Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term platform health. 3. Team & Mentorship - ● Mentor Senior and Associate engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and guidance. ● Raise the overall engineering capability of the team. ● Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. ● Partner closely with Product, QA, and Clinical stakeholders. 4. Required Skills & Experience - ● 7–10 years of professional software engineering experience. ● Proven experience leading technical initiatives or teams. ● Strong expertise in: - React.js and frontend architecture - Node.js backend systems and API design - AWS cloud services (EC2 / ECS / EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch) ● Deep understanding of: - System design and scalability. - Data modeling and performance. - Security and privacy considerations. ● Hands-on experience with: - CI/CD pipelines. - Production monitoring and incident response. ● Strong decision-making and communication skills. ● Ability to mentor and influence without micromanaging. ● Drive automation and tooling improvements that reduce cognitive load, improve developer experience, and maintain system correctness. **Nice-to-Have:** ● Experience in healthcare, fintech, or other regulated domains. ● Experience working with Kubernetes or distributed systems. ● Prior experience working closely with compliance or regulatory requirements. **Why Join Tricog (Lead Level)** ● Shape the technical direction of mission-critical healthcare systems. ● Lead engineers building products with real patient impact. ● Work in a highly collaborative environment with strong product and clinical alignment. ● Opportunity to grow into Staff Engineer, Engineering Manager, or Architect paths.
