Full Stack AI Engineer - India

Our ambition is to create a new category: Mission Superintelligence—technology that helps humans and intelligent machines understand complex environments, make better decisions, and coordinate action across the physical world. ## About the Role We're looking for a *Full Stack AI Engineer* to help us build and scale our web application. You'll own new feature development end-to-end — from database and API design through to polished, responsive UI — while keeping our existing product stable, fast, and maintainable. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable across the whole stack and genuinely excited about building with modern AI tooling. You'll work directly with LLMs, use AI-assisted development workflows day to day, and ship features that put AI to work for our users. ## What You'll Do - Design, build, and ship new features for our web app across the full stack (frontend, backend, database). - Maintain, debug, and improve the existing application — fixing issues, improving performance, and paying down technical debt. - Build and integrate LLM-powered features into the product. - Design clean REST/JSON APIs and efficient PostgreSQL schemas and queries. - Own deployments and keep environments healthy (Railway, Docker). - Write readable, tested, well-documented code and participate in code reviews. - Collaborate closely with product and design to turn ideas into working features quickly. - Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) to move faster without sacrificing quality. ## Required Skills & Experience - *2+ years* of professional full stack development experience, *or* a strong portfolio of projects/internships for recent graduates. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience. - *Frontend:* Strong proficiency with *React.js* and *Next.js*, including modern hooks, component architecture, and responsive UI. - *Backend:* Solid *Python* experience building backend services and APIs (e.g., FastAPI, Django, or Flask). - *Database:* Hands-on experience with *PostgreSQL* — schema design, writing and optimizing queries, migrations. - *Deployment:* Experience deploying and managing apps on *Railway* (or similar PaaS) and containerizing services with *Docker*. - *AI/LLM:* Practical experience working with *LLMs and AI models* — calling model APIs, prompt engineering, and integrating AI into real features. - Comfort using *AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code* in your day-to-day workflow. - Strong fundamentals: Git/version control, debugging, writing clean and maintainable code. - Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and own features end-to-end. ## Nice to Have - Experience with TypeScript. - Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases (e.g., pgvector, Pinecone), or agent frameworks. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing. - Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). - Experience with authentication/authorization, API security, and rate limiting. - Familiarity with observability/monitoring tools (logging, error tracking, performance monitoring). - An eye for UI/UX and design systems (e.g., Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui). ## What We Offer - Competitive Salary - Equity/bonus based on performance after the first year. - Health, PTO, and other benefits - The chance to build real AI products and grow quickly in a small, high-ownership team. # This Is Your Role If You do not want your best work to be another incremental feature.
