Data Engineer / Analyst

You'd own how we measure the product. Languages: SQL first. This is the core skill and we will test it. Python for pipelines and analysis. Some TypeScript, since our metrics endpoints live in the Node backend. Databases: PostgreSQL. We run two instances, one for the product and one for the AI service. You'd need to be comfortable with cohort and retention queries, window functions, and query performance, specifically, keeping analytics queries from slowing down the live app they share a server with. Building the layer: We don't have a warehouse or a BI tool yet. Postgres is doing double duty. Part of this role is deciding whether that's still the right call and building whatever comes next. Experience with dbt, BigQuery, ClickHouse, Metabase, or similar is a plus but not required. Dashboards: We're building an internal metrics dashboard. Some React would help, though we can pair you with the frontend engineer. Privacy: Ultimate data privacy and separation and security for our users Know the product in and out to make our data useful and drive decisions forward for the future of the app. We want internal databases and dashboards due to health privacy concerns with third party tools. Comfortable leveraging and managing agents for enhancing dev work, NOT replacing. Must thrive in fast paced, ambiguous environment. Takes initiatives, thoroughly communicates and proactively collaborates. Humble team player who is eager to learn anything and make the product the best possible.
