CTO / Technical Co-Founder – Enterprise AI

Lumetra Technologies is looking for a CTO / Technical Co-Founder to join at the founding stage and take ownership of the company’s technology vision, architecture and engineering execution. Lumetra is a Qatar-founded enterprise AI company building a vendor-neutral AI Business Operating System (AI-BOS) designed to sit above existing ERP, CRM, HRMS, finance, procurement and operational systems. The platform is being built to connect fragmented enterprise data and enable cross-functional intelligence, decision support and governed AI-driven actions. We have already developed a functional concept prototype covering 53 cross-functional enterprise decision scenarios, with People, Finance and Procurement forming the initial product focus. The next milestone is transforming this into a secure, scalable and pilot-ready MVP. What you will own • Define and lead Lumetra’s overall technical architecture and engineering roadmap • Build the core agentic AI and orchestration layer • Design secure integrations with enterprise systems through APIs and connectors • Develop the platform’s cross-functional reasoning, context and decision capabilities • Build governance, approvals, auditability and human-in-the-loop controls into the architecture • Establish scalable cloud, data, security and deployment architecture • Lead the progression from prototype to pilot-ready MVP and production platform • Recruit and lead the future engineering team • Work directly with the Founder & CEO on product strategy, enterprise pilots, fundraising and technology partnerships • Represent Lumetra technically with investors, customers and ecosystem partners Who we are looking for We are looking for a senior, hands-on technology leader who can both design architecture and build. Strong experience in AI/ML, generative AI, LLM applications, agentic systems, backend/platform engineering and enterprise integrations is particularly relevant. Experience with enterprise SaaS, ERP/CRM ecosystems, security, data governance, cloud infrastructure or complex B2B platforms would be highly valuable. Just as important, we want someone with a founder mindset: high ownership, intellectual honesty, strong technical judgment and the ability to operate effectively in an early-stage environment where major architectural decisions are still being shaped. Stage • Pre-revenue • Functional prototype / early MVP under validation • Preparing for a US$1M pre-seed round • Qatar as the initial proving ground, followed by GCC expansion Founder-level opportunity This is not a conventional employee CTO position. The successful candidate will join as a Technical Co-Founder, with 5%–10% equity, depending on experience, technical contribution and level of founding commitment, subject to a 4-year vesting schedule with a 1-year cliff and final agreement. There is currently no salary before external funding. A competitive CTO salary is intended to commence following successful funding. Location & working arrangement The role may begin remotely during Lumetra’s pre-funding stage, and applications are welcomed internationally. Following successful funding, the CTO / Technical Co-Founder will be expected to relocate to Doha, Qatar, with Lumetra supporting the visa sponsorship and relocation process. Flexible working arrangements can continue thereafter as appropriate.
