Medical Education & Communication Intern

Primary Function of Position The Medical Education & Communications Intern will support Medical Affairs activities through scientific communications, publication support, literature review, and content development related to novel fluorescence imaging agents, which are designed to help visualize specific tissues during surgery. The intern will help review and synthesize scientific information, support development of scientific communication resources, and contribute to initiatives that enhance evidence communication and education for internal and external stakeholders. This position reports to the Medical Education Communications Manager and works cross-functionally within the Future Forward Fluorescence Imaging team. Essential Job Duties Conduct targeted literature reviews and summarize scientific and clinical evidence relevant to fluorescence imaging, surgery, oncology, and related fields. Support development of scientific communication resources that translate complex evidence into clear and scientifically accurate content for internal and external audiences. Assist with scientific content management. Support publication activities. Prepare presentations, reports, and scientific summaries. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scientific communications are accurate, consistent, and aligned with available evidence. Contribute to special projects supporting clinical and scientific evidence communication for novel fluorescence imaging agents. Required Skills and Experience Strong scientific and clinical research and literature evaluation Ability to analyze, interpret, and synthesize scientific and clinical information from multiple sources Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams University Hiring Program Eligibility Requirements: University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degree-seeking academic program after the internship. Internship Work Period: Must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 10-12 week period starting May or June. Specific start dates are shared during the recruiting process. Required Education and Training Current enrollment in a PharmD, Master’s or PhD, biomedical sciences, life sciences, or related graduate degree-seeking program. Bachelor’s level students with significant relevant experience may also be considered. We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay (paid at an hourly rate), benefits, and a housing allowance. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including relevant skills and experience for this internship, degree-seeking academic program (PhD, Master’s, Bachelor’s, etc), year in school, and location. The hourly rate is prorated against the intern program salaries listed and total program compensation will be based on internship duration.
