We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Manager - Food Safety to join our team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive food safety programs that ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organizational standards. You will lead a team of food safety professionals, conduct thorough audits and inspections, and drive continuous improvement across all food safety operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on product quality and consumer safety while advancing your career in food safety management. Develop, implement, and maintain food safety protocols, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) aligned with FSSAI regulations and international standards Conduct regular food safety audits, inspections, and assessments to identify non-conformances and areas for improvement Supervise and train food safety team members on proper protocols, documentation, and compliance requirements Investigate food safety incidents, near-misses, and non-conformances; analyze root causes and implement corrective actions Maintain comprehensive food safety documentation, records, and traceability systems to ensure regulatory compliance Coordinate with regulatory authorities and manage inspections, certifications, and compliance submissions Monitor and evaluate supplier compliance with food safety standards and conduct supplier audits as needed Analyze food safety data, trends, and metrics to identify patterns and recommend preventive measures Prepare detailed reports and presentations on food safety performance for management review Stay current with evolving food safety regulations and industry best practices; communicate updates to relevant stakeholders Collaborate with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure integrated food safety management **Required Qualifications:** 3-5 years of professional experience in food safety, quality assurance, or related field Comprehensive knowledge of food safety management systems and standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSAI guidelines) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex food safety data Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Proficiency in food safety management software and systems In-depth understanding of Indian food safety regulations and compliance requirements Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and supervise team members Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation **Preferred Qualifications:** Certification in HACCP, ISO 22000, or other recognized food safety standards Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and quality management software Experience conducting internal and external food safety audits Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies in food safety Experience in the food manufacturing, processing, or hospitality industry Desired Candidate: Immense sense of ownership and execution excellence. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, presentation and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a rigorous fast-paced environment with multiple senior stakeholders.
