SRI sits at the heart of a firmwide strategy that advances security, resiliency, energy, and sustainability together—work advanced in partnership with the firmwide Center for Energy and the Environment (CE&E). This role leads firmwide internal communications for SRI and is part of the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Communications team. Role Overview: As a Vice President leading internal communications for SRI, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing an employee communications approach that helps colleagues across the firm understand SRI’s objectives, progress, and impact—and how this work strengthens what we deliver for clients. Reporting to the Head of Communications for SRI and CE&E, with accountability to the Global Head of Internal Communications for the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB), you will serve as a connective force across the firm’s internal communications community, linking communicators across corporate and business functions to ensure seamless collaboration and a consistent voice. Job Responsibilities: Lead development and execution of the internal communications strategy for SRI, aligned with firmwide priorities and delivered with a consistent voice across channels. Serve as a trusted advisor to SRI leadership, providing counsel on messaging, narrative development, executive positioning, and employee engagement opportunities. Draft, edit and oversee high-quality internal content including, but not limited to: leadership messages, organization announcements, FAQs and explainers, newsletters, intranet stories, scripts, and event materials. Build an ongoing employee storytelling engine by sourcing, writing, and publishing stories that highlight progress, business achievements, and the people behind the work. Own end-to-end content workflow: develop first drafts, edit, secure approvals, and publish across appropriate channels (e.g., Microsoft Teams, intranet, video, digital signage, and live events). Plan and execute employee engagement moments with senior executives, including town halls, all-hands calls, site visits, roundtables, panels and fireside chats; provide logistics support and the associated decks, talking points and briefing materials. Support intranet content management, including content strategy, governance, and the look, feel and navigation experience. Partner with Marketing and external communications colleagues as needed to ensure internal storytelling aligns with external narratives where appropriate. Establish measurement that tracks awareness, comprehension and engagement (e.g., open rates, event feedback and content performance), and use insights to sharpen strategy over time. Develop strong relationships with communicators across the firm and among our broader communications team to align plans, share story opportunities, and enable seamless collaboration. Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities: A bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience in corporate or internal communications, with experience operating at scale in a complex, highly matrixed organization. Proven ability to develop and execute internal communications plans for complex, high-profile initiatives, with strong enterprise storytelling skills and sound judgment. Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to distill complex topics into clear, compelling narratives across formats (talking points, FAQs, explainers, leadership emails, scripts and decks). Experience managing content development workflows and approvals with strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in a regulated environment. Strong project management skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple high-priority initiatives. Analytical and strategic approach to problem solving, including comfort using metrics and insights to improve communications effectiveness. Unwavering commitment and diligence in managing risk and protecting and enhancing the reputation of the firm. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with AI-assisted communications workflows, with appropriate controls. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with one or more SRI focus areas (advanced manufacturing and supply chains, defense and aerospace, energy independence and resilience, frontier and strategic technologies, pharma and healthtech). Comfort working in a matrixed organization and influencing across multiple verticals and communications partners. Internally motivated, collaborative, proactive and adaptable communicator with a passion for storytelling and continuous improvement.
