As a Solutions Analyst III in Commercial & Investment Bank Payments Technology team, you will aid in bridging the gap between product owners, business, operations, and software developers by leveraging your technical fluency and strong analytical reasoning skills. Job responsibilities Partner with Payments Investigation Operations, Product, Technology, and Engineering teams to understand business needs and shape practical solutions that improve the investigation experience. Analyze stakeholder requirements and end-to-end payment investigation journeys to identify impacts to processes, systems, teams, data, and capabilities; recommend the functions or enhancements needed to deliver the requested outcome. Gather and document requirements in Jira through clear epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and defects; create the supporting BA documentation, including process flows, current- and future-state journeys, business rules, data requirements, impact assessments, and stakeholder decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to clarify requirements, identify dependencies and risks, support prioritization, and maintain traceability from requirement through delivery. Use analysis and available payment or operational data to validate requirements, identify trends or gaps, and recommend investigation process, operational, and technology improvements. Communicate progress, open questions, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders; continuously build payments and investigation domain knowledge. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Solutions Analyst, Product Analyst, Payments Operations Analyst, or in a comparable role delivering business or technology change. Direct experience in payment investigations or related payment exception management, such as inquiries, tracing, repairs, returns, recalls, reconciliation, or case management. Ability to gather, analyze, and document stakeholder requirements; translate them into clear, testable delivery requirements; create and manage Jira artifacts, including epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and defects, in an Agile delivery environment; and produce core BA documentation, including process maps, workflow diagrams, business rules, data requirements, impact assessments, and current- and future-state documentation. Strong analytical skills to assess incoming requirements, identify impacts to payment journeys, processes, systems, teams, and data, and recommend required capabilities or enhancements. Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with Operations, Product, Technology, and Engineering teams to clarify requirements, assess impacts, and explain recommendations. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Functional knowledge of the end-to-end payment lifecycle and exposure to domestic or cross-border payment flows. Knowledge of SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022, CBPR+, domestic payment rails, or cross-border payment processing. Experience with payment investigation or case-management platforms, workflow tools, reconciliation, or investigation dashboards. Experience with Agile backlog prioritization, UAT, SQL, reporting or BI tools, Confluence, Lucidchart, Visio, or similar tools. Knowledge of non-functional requirements, including security, resiliency, availability, performance, or auditability. Experience in a regulated financial-services environment or with operational controls, risk, audit, security, or privacy. Experience using enterprise-authorized AI tools for analysis or documentation, with validation of outputs and appropriate handling of sensitive data.
