Small Business Sales for Ontario - Merchant Services - Vice President

Job Description As Vice President, SMB Sales (Field) for Ontario, you will lead a team of Sales Representatives to drive revenue growth across the Canadian SMB segment. You will build a high-performing field organization, accelerate pipeline creation and conversion, and ensure consistent execution from prospecting through implementation while partnering closely with Product and implementation teams to deliver competitive, client-focused payment solutions. Job Responsibilities Team Leadership & Regional Strategy • You will lead, coach, and develop a team of Field Sales Representatives across Ontario to deliver growth and revenue objectives. • You will contribute to and execute the SMB field strategy for the region, translating priorities into territory plans, coverage models, and weekly execution targets. Sales Execution & Pipeline Discipline • You will own full sales cycle leadership, including prospecting, qualification, RFPs, proposals, contract negotiation, documentation, and coordination with Product partners and implementation teams. • You will run a disciplined operating rhythm through weekly pipeline reviews, deal inspection, and forecast calls that strengthen accountability and execution. • You will coach for pipeline effectiveness by improving qualification, deal progression, objection handling, and close plans across the team’s portfolio. Client Engagement & Internal Partnership • You will communicate with clarity and influence across client stakeholders, including senior decision-makers, through strong written and verbal executive presence. • You will partner effectively across the organization to remove barriers, escalate priorities, and keep JPMorganChase competitive in the SMB market. Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills. • Minimum 5 years of experience leading B2B sales teams, ideally within SMB and field/distributed sales environments. • Strong business acumen and deep knowledge of payments solutions, including merchant acquiring, relevant to the SMB segment within payments or banking. • Results-oriented leader with a track record of coaching SMB sales professionals to deliver growth goals across revenue, volume, new merchant acquisition, margin growth, and product adoption. • Proven pipeline management and forecasting capability, including consistent deal inspection discipline. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to engage and influence executive-level stakeholders. • Expected travel of 25%–50% across Ontario.
