Job Summary A .NET Technical Lead (PM/SPM) is a senior role responsible for: Leading .NET-based software development teams Driving technical architecture and solution design Managing end-to-end project delivery Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams They combine deep technical expertise in Microsoft .NET stack with project/program management skills to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of applications. Core Role Pillars The role typically spans 4 key areas : Technical Leadership Project / Program Management People & Delivery Management Stakeholder & Business Management 1. Technical Leadership Responsibilities Define technical architecture and design using .NET, C#, APIs, and microservices Guide the team on best practices, coding standards, and frameworks Review code, solution design, and architecture decisions Solve complex technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and scalability challenges Ensure security, data protection, and system reliability Drive adoption of modern technologies (cloud, DevOps, automation) 2. Project / Program Management Responsibilities Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables Create project plans, estimations, and resource allocation Track progress and ensure on-time delivery Manage risks, dependencies, and issue resolution Drive Agile ceremonies (Sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) Ensure quality, governance, and compliance with SDLC Monitor overall project health, budget, and performance metrics 3. Team & People Management Lead a team of developers, QA, and engineers Mentor junior and mid-level developers Conduct code reviews and technical coaching Build team capability and ensure productivity Support hiring, onboarding, and performance improvement 4. Stakeholder & Business Management Work with clients, product owners, and business stakeholders Translate business requirements → technical solutions Manage stakeholder expectations and communication Participate in solution discussions, feasibility analysis, and cost evaluation Provide status reports, dashboards, and updates Key Skills Required 🔹 Technical Skills .NET technologies: .NET Core, ASP.NET, C# Web APIs, Microservices, REST services Database: SQL Server, performance tuning Frontend basics: Angular / React (preferred) Cloud: Azure / AWS DevOps: CI/CD, Git, pipelines Design patterns, OOP concepts 🔹 Project / Leadership Skills Agile / Scrum delivery Project planning & estimation Risk management Stakeholder communication Resource & team management Decision-making & problem-solving 🔹 Soft Skills Leadership & mentoring Communication (technical + business) Analytical thinking Conflict resolution Ownership mindset Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT Typically 8–15+ years experience Strong experience in: .NET development Architecture design Team leadership Project delivery Deliverables / Key Outcomes A .NET Tech Lead is measured on: Successful project delivery (time, quality, cost) Scalable and stable architecture High team productivity and code quality Customer satisfaction Reduced production issues and defects
