Senior Engineer - Facade

Candidate will be part of the Façade Engineering Team in the India for supporting UK team. Provide continuous feedback to the Local Head of CRC on the effectiveness of the protocols and processes in place with a view to continuous improvement Develop positive professional relationship with the WSP UK Team, communicating openly about project progress Participate in Project meetings, team meetings, disseminate information within the team, and communicate with other teams in WSP Identify and act on, or refer, potential risk issues and follow in full the company commercial and contracting processes Manage delegated tasks to ensure that deadlines are met and flag resourcing concerns to team leader Identify and flag additional fees to the Local Head of CRC Complete timesheet accurately ahead of weekly deadlines Proven experience in a façade design/engineering role or other relevant industry experience in building physics and sustainability design A willingness to progress towards Incorporated Engineer / Chartered Engineer status with a recognized professional institution. An interest in the facades/cladding market. A desire to understand the impact of façade systems on the structure and environmental performance of buildings. An interest in environmental aspects of façade design, including thermal performance, daylight, and solar control. In-depth technical and design skills related to building envelope design and detailing, construction techniques, procurement routes and risk assessment Ability to maintain personal effectiveness particularly during periods of higher-than-normal workload Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD design software (e.g. Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper). Proficiency in Façade Embodied Carbon Assessment will be an added advantage. Understanding of and some ability to use analysis software tools (structural or thermal) such as Strand7, ANSYS, Solid Works, Mepla, Vitrages, Bisco, Trisco, Builddesk or Flixo will be an advantage. Familiarity with international codes including European standards will be a plus.
