Lead Data Center Support Services Technician

As an Oracle Data Center Technician, you will provide hands-on technical support for highly secure, mission-critical infrastructure supporting U.S. Government customers. This role specifically supports the GDI/ONSR EDGE data center locations that are across multiple regions and locations within the United States. You will be responsible for maintaining the operational health of data center and interconnect infrastructure within access-controlled facilities and will work closely with internal engineering teams, customer representatives, site personnel, security organizations, and external partners. This role requires strong technical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in complex environments where standard data center activities may require additional coordination, approvals, and site-specific procedures before work can begin. You will troubleshoot hardware, cabling, connectivity, and infrastructure issues, support break-fix activities, participate in project deployments, maintain accurate technical documentation, and escalate issues to the appropriate resolver groups when necessary. The underlying support model specifically involves customer-owned, access-controlled environments with added approval and coordination requirements. You will also support infrastructure installations, secure equipment handling, circuit-related activities, asset management, site documentation, and operational readiness. This position may require regional travel to other supported locations to support edge infrastructure, including major deployments, infrastructure upgrades, site activations, or high-severity incident response. Qualifications: Active TS/SCI security clearance w/polygraph DoD 8140 Certification such as Security+ or higher Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience. 3-8 years of experience, primarily in Data Center infrastructure Operations support and server administration in a mid-sized environment (200 - 1000+ server systems) Must have demonstrated expertise in two or more of these areas: Power Capacity allocation – high and low density racks Incident management and resolution on outages Systems administration (Linux and/or Windows Servers) Networking (DNS, TCP/IP) You should also be able to demonstrate A solid level understanding of data center design, commissioning and operations best practices and ensures their application Examples of process improvement execution Examples of a drive to dig into the details of a system or process to solve customer problems Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong Adherence to Process and be process champion Strong influencing skills Ability to work independently, with little direct management Experience supporting large, Enterprise customers in an Operations environment Disclaimer: Certain U.S. based or U.S. customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization/occupational health mandates, and/or drug testing requirements.
