As part of this growth, we are seeking a Geotechnical & Contaminated Land Management Data Lead to drive the strategic development of our national data management capability and shape the future of digital geoscience across Australia. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced data management leader to combine technical expertise, innovation, commercial leadership and people development while influencing how subsurface and environmental data supports better project outcomes for our clients. As a Geotechnical & Contaminated Land Management Data Lead you will: Develop and implement WSP's national strategy for geotechnical, laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and contaminated land data management. Lead the development and optimisation of enterprise-scale geotechnical and environmental databases and digital workflows. Drive innovation through digital ground models, cloud-based solutions, AI-enabled data interrogation, advanced analytics and automated reporting. Establish data governance frameworks, quality assurance protocols and national standards for data management. Lead multidisciplinary teams of data professionals while fostering a culture of collaboration, technical excellence and continuous improvement. Provide technical oversight on major projects and advise clients on best-practice data governance and management solutions. Collaborate with WSP's global digital, GIS and data management teams, software vendors and industry partners to leverage innovation and best practice. Support business growth through strategic pursuits, proposal development, client engagement and the commercialisation of data-driven services and intellectual property. What you'll bring: A degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management or a related discipline. Significant experience in geotechnical, environmental, geological or related data management roles. Demonstrated experience designing, implementing and managing geotechnical and environmental databases and digital field systems. Strong understanding of geotechnical investigations, contaminated land assessment and environmental monitoring workflows. Proven experience leading complex projects and multidisciplinary teams at a regional or national level. Excellent stakeholder engagement, commercial and project management skills. Experience with platforms such as ESDAT, gINT, OpenGround, BoreDM, ArcGIS and related geoscience technologies will be highly regarded.
