Back End Developer — Java / Spring Boot

## Key Responsibilities - Design and develop robust, scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using **Java**, **Spring**, and **Spring Boot** - Package and deploy applications using **containerisation** (Docker), following best practices for image creation and environment portability - Collaborate with front-end developers, architects, and product owners to deliver high-quality software increments - Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to maintain code quality - Write unit, integration, and component tests to ensure reliability and regression coverage - Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support deployment processes - Identify, diagnose, and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues - Maintain clear technical documentation for services and APIs ## Required Skills & Experience | Skill | Detail | |---|---| | **Java** | Strong proficiency; idiomatic, clean, testable code | | **Spring / Spring Boot** | REST APIs, dependency injection, Spring Security, Spring Data | | **Containerisation** | Docker — image creation, multi-stage builds, runtime configuration | | **Experience** | 3–5 years in a professional back-end development role | ## Nice-to-Have Skills - **MongoDB** — document data modelling, aggregation pipelines, indexing strategies - **Apache Kafka** — event-driven architecture, producers/consumers, topic management - **Elasticsearch** — indexing, querying, and relevance tuning - **Kubernetes** — deploying and managing containerised workloads, basic understanding of Pods, Services, and Deployments
