From landmark commercial buildings and transport hubs to education, residential, public and industrial schemes, you’ll gain hands-on experience on projects that shape communities and support a more sustainable built environment. Opportunities are available in: London, Basingstoke, Belfast, Leeds and Stockton. As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will work alongside experienced structural engineers, architects, building services specialists and other multidisciplinary teams. You’ll develop your technical knowledge, design skills and understanding of how safe, efficient and resilient structures are brought to life. From concept and detailed design through to construction, you may carry out structural calculations, prepare drawings and BIM models, review design information, attend coordination meetings and support site activity. You’ll also learn how materials such as steel, concrete, timber and masonry are used to create practical building designs. Supported by chartered and experienced engineers, you will build confidence, take on more responsibility and develop the skills needed for professional accreditation. You will be interested in building design, structural engineering, sustainable construction, materials, digital modelling or how buildings are designed and delivered. You will be curious, analytical and motivated to solve technical design challenges that shape safe, practical and resilient building structures. You will be comfortable collaborating with others, sharing ideas and learning from different specialists across project teams.
