Lead code and design reviews, mentor front-end developers, and promote engineering best practices. Improve, maintain, and optimize front-end CI/CD processes and deployment pipelines. Identify architectural gaps, recommend technical improvements, and establish the front-end technical roadmap. Collaborate with Java backend teams to integrate APIs and services, without requiring Java development. Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture decision records, and engineering process guidelines. Apply secure development practices aligned with government security standards and sensitive data handling requirements. Requirements The ideal candidate is a senior front-end engineer with proven technical leadership experience, strong accessibility expertise, and the ability to establish reliable engineering practices. The following qualifications are required: Proven experience as a Front-End Tech Lead or senior-level front-end engineer. Expert-level proficiency in Angular, SASS, and HTML. Experience producing technical documentation, runbooks, architecture decision records, or engineering process guides. Benefits Remote work opportunity for candidates based locally in Iowa. Senior-level technical leadership role with significant influence over front-end architecture and engineering standards. Opportunity to drive accessibility initiatives and contribute to inclusive, compliant digital experiences. Collaboration with experienced front-end and Java backend engineering teams. Opportunity to mentor developers and shape technical processes and development practices.
