Senior SDET Lead – Mobile, Web & AI-Driven Automation

Accountabilities: Automation Framework Architecture Design, architect, and build scalable test automation frameworks from scratch for mobile and web applications. Establish reusable automation components, technical standards, and best practices that support maintainability and reliable test execution. Take end-to-end technical ownership of automation solutions and complex engineering challenges. Mobile Application Automation Develop and maintain automated tests for Android and iOS applications using Appium 2.x and relevant platform-specific tools. Apply technologies such as UIAutomator2, XCUITest, Android SDK, ADB, and Xcode to support effective mobile testing. Identify opportunities to improve mobile test coverage, reliability, and execution efficiency. Web Application Automation Build and maintain web automation suites using Playwright or Selenium WebDriver. Develop test automation solutions using Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python. Promote robust testing practices that support application quality and efficient development cycles. CI/CD Integration and Engineering Efficiency Integrate automated test suites into modern continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines. Collaborate with engineering teams to streamline test execution and embed automation into development workflows. Use AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent solutions to accelerate development, optimize frameworks, and improve code quality. Technical Leadership and Mentorship Drive technical decisions and establish consistent automation engineering standards. Mentor and guide engineers through framework implementation, technical problem-solving, and effective testing practices. Communicate technical concepts, architectural decisions, and delivery considerations clearly to clients and internal engineering teams. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions. Own complex challenges from design through implementation, ensuring that automation solutions align with project needs and engineering objectives. Requirements Strong hands-on experience with mobile test automation using Appium 2.x across Android and iOS. Practical knowledge of UIAutomator2, XCUITest, Android SDK, ADB, and Xcode . Strong web automation experience using Playwright or Selenium WebDriver . Proficiency in at least one relevant programming language: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python . Proven experience architecting and building test automation frameworks from the ground up. Practical experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines. Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent tools to improve development velocity and framework quality. Demonstrated technical leadership, including the ability to make architectural decisions, establish engineering standards, and mentor other engineers. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership of complex technical challenges from conception through implementation. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and technical teams. Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams while maintaining a high level of technical ownership and accountability. Nice to Have Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured. Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Hands-on experience with cloud-based device farms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, Firebase Test Lab, or AWS Device Farm. Experience with test runners and behavior-driven development (BDD) tools, including TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber. Familiarity with Kotlin, Swift, Docker, or containerized testing environments.
