Senior Product Manager, Forward Deployed

Accountabilities: The Senior Product Manager will lead the discovery and development of new product opportunities, working closely with customers and cross-functional teams to turn validated needs into commercially viable, scalable offerings. Identify and validate new business opportunities Partner with Sales, Business Development, and customers to identify emerging opportunities and understand user challenges, buyer priorities, and potential competitive advantages. Evaluate market demand, willingness to pay, pricing, cost to serve, and opportunities to expand beyond initial customers. Establish clear validation criteria and determine which opportunities should be developed further, scaled, or discontinued. Communicate investment recommendations and strategic decisions clearly to stakeholders. Collaborate with existing product teams to leverage current capabilities and accelerate new business development. Prototype and learn with customers Work directly with customers to understand operational workflows, exceptions, and manual processes that create friction. Translate customer insights into practical solutions and prototypes that can be tested in real-world environments. Use AI coding tools and agentic systems to build working prototypes quickly and iterate based on customer feedback. Test solutions using realistic data and measurable success criteria to validate their value. Partner with Sales to demonstrate new offerings, engage early customers, define project scope, and align delivery commitments. Deliver and scale successful products Own initiatives from initial experimentation through product delivery, customer adoption, and business expansion. Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Operations, and Client Success to transform validated concepts into reliable, repeatable products. Balance individual customer requirements with broader market opportunities, identifying reusable capabilities and commercially justified tailored solutions. Provide technical product judgment on agentic systems, including tool and API integrations, evaluations, human oversight, permissions, and failure management. Partner with Engineering to establish the reliability and quality standards required for enterprise-grade production solutions. Define product positioning, packaging, pricing, and launch strategies alongside commercial teams. Equip customer-facing teams with the knowledge and materials needed to communicate product value effectively. Track customer and business outcomes, including adoption, time savings, operational quality, revenue, expansion, and margins. Use performance insights to guide product improvements and future investment decisions. Requirements The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial product leader who combines strong customer engagement skills, technical fluency in AI, and the ability to turn ambiguous opportunities into successful products and sustainable businesses. At least 5 years of product management experience, or comparable founder experience with significant product and business ownership. Background in SaaS, health technology, or another complex software business. Demonstrated experience taking an ambiguous opportunity from customer discovery to product launch, with clear examples of customer value and business impact. Practical knowledge of AI and agentic systems, including hands-on experience using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable AI development platforms. Experience building, testing, or delivering working prototypes and AI-powered products. Strong ability to build trust with customers, Sales teams, and internal stakeholders. Excellent discovery and problem-solving skills, with the ability to ask insightful questions and identify meaningful customer needs. Sound product judgment and the ability to balance commercial opportunities with long-term product strategy and investment decisions. Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and understand technical tradeoffs, API integrations, workflows, and implementation considerations. Strong analytical and business thinking, including the ability to assess market opportunities, pricing, costs, and commercial viability. Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and adapting quickly to new information and customer feedback. Curiosity, experimentation, accountability, and strong attention to detail. Additional experience that would be valuable: Launching new paid products or services and working with early-stage customers. Building businesses that combine software products with operational services. Experience in healthcare technology, provider data, or regulated enterprise workflows.
