Share technical feedback with the quoting software team to improve automated quoting accuracy across manufacturing services. Generate high-quality 2D engineering drawings in accordance with ANSI/ASME Y14.5 standards. Coach and mentor engineers across U.S. and Global Capability Center (GCC) teams, sharing technical knowledge in fabrication, costing, and DFM. Establish, document, and promote engineering best practices, including peer reviews and quality checks that improve technical consistency across regions. Lead cross-functional initiatives by influencing and coordinating engineering, sourcing, sales, quality, and software teams without relying on direct reporting authority. Provide technical guidance to engineers and regional partners working on shared initiatives, ensuring alignment and progress. Contribute to the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain applicable quality standards. Requirements: A four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical training. 5–10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, costing, DFM, or custom mechanical hardware development. Hands-on experience with multiple custom manufacturing processes, such as sheet metal fabrication, urethane casting, and injection molding. Demonstrated experience with both CNC machining and 3D printing. Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), conventional coordinate tolerancing, and the manufacturing characteristics and limitations of common metals and plastics. Experience mentoring or coaching engineers and serving as a trusted technical resource; experience collaborating with offshore or GCC teams is an advantage. Proven ability to lead through influence, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage projects involving stakeholders without direct reporting relationships. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities end to end, exercise sound technical judgment, and drive decisions to completion with minimal supervision. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multicultural and cross-functional teams. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate documentation. Familiarity with APQP/PPAP, IQ/OQ/PQ, EV/DV/PV, or New Product Introduction (NPI) processes is beneficial; PMP certification is also a plus.
