Accountabilities: Remote Cardiac Device Monitoring: Monitor patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) using specialized remote monitoring software and review incoming transmissions to support continuous patient care. Clinical Data Interpretation: Analyze ECG and EGM recordings, device diagnostics, and transmission data to identify abnormal device function, complex arrhythmias, and other clinically significant findings. Device Performance Assessment: Evaluate pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, and other cardiac monitoring devices across multiple manufacturers, recognizing potential issues and recommending appropriate follow-up when necessary. Clinical Documentation: Prepare accurate, clear, and professional documentation of device findings in accordance with established clinical standards and procedures. Provider Communication: Communicate relevant findings and concerns to healthcare providers as appropriate, ensuring timely information sharing and continuity of care. Workflow and Productivity Management: Independently organize daily responsibilities, prioritize incoming transmissions, and deliver accurate interpretations within expected turnaround times. Team Collaboration: Work closely with clinical leadership and fellow specialists to maintain quality standards, resolve complex cases, and support efficient monitoring operations. Patient Privacy and Compliance: Protect sensitive patient information and comply with HIPAA requirements, privacy policies, and protocols governing protected health information (PHI). Continuous Quality Improvement: Contribute to a patient-first culture by maintaining high standards of clinical accuracy, professional integrity, and service excellence. Requirements Relevant Experience: At least two years of recent experience in cardiac device management, or successful completion of a formal cardiac rhythm management training program. CIED Expertise: Hands-on experience interrogating and interpreting cardiac device diagnostics from at least three of the following four major manufacturers: Medtronic, Abbott, Boston Scientific, and Biotronik. ECG/EGM Interpretation: Strong knowledge of electrocardiogram and intracardiac electrogram interpretation, including the ability to recognize and assess complex arrhythmias. Technical Proficiency: Moderate to advanced technical skills and the ability to work confidently across digital monitoring platforms, device portals, and clinical software systems. Education: An associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as nursing, cardiovascular technology, biomedical engineering, or a related field, is strongly preferred but not required. Professional Certifications: IBHRE certifications such as CCDS, CEPS, or CDRMS are preferred but not mandatory. CCT or CRAT credentials are also considered an advantage. Industry Knowledge: Experience in cardiac rhythm management or the cardiac medical device industry is beneficial. Communication and Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and healthcare providers. Organization and Independence: Ability to manage workloads independently, maintain accuracy under time constraints, and remain focused while working overnight in a remote environment. Remote Work Readiness: A dedicated, quiet home workspace, reliable internet connectivity, and the ability to remain actively engaged with the team through virtual communication tools. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Teams, and Slack is an advantage. Technical Assessment: Ability to successfully complete a technical assessment during the recruitment process. Schedule and Location: Must reside and work exclusively within the contiguous United States and be available for a regular overnight schedule beginning after 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Physical and Technical Requirements: Ability to work at a computer for extended periods, perform repetitive data-entry tasks, communicate effectively through voice-over-internet systems, and exchange accurate information with colleagues and other stakeholders. Information Security: Ability to follow company security policies, including restrictions on working from locations other than the approved legal address and on accessing or transporting confidential information internationally.
