Staff Technical Program Manager

About the role

We're looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager to drive the most complex, cross-functional programs across our security organization. This is a senior role for someone who can turn ambiguous, high-stakes security initiatives into structured programs with clear owners, milestones, and outcomes — and keep them moving across engineering, compliance, legal, IT, and leadership.

You won't just track work; you'll shape it. You'll bring enough technical depth to hold your own with security engineers, enough program rigor to land multi-quarter initiatives, and enough influence to align stakeholders who don't report to you. You'll be a force multiplier for the entire security function.

What you'll do

• Lead large, cross-functional security programs end to end — from framing the problem and building the plan through execution and delivery.
• Drive programs such as compliance certifications, security remediation initiatives, incident-driven improvements, and company-wide security rollouts.
• Bring structure to ambiguity: define scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, and success metrics, and keep programs on track.
• Coordinate across security engineering, GRC, IT, legal, product, and executive stakeholders, aligning priorities and unblocking work.
• Establish the operating cadence for the security org: planning, roadmapping, prioritization, and reporting.
• Communicate program status, risks, and outcomes clearly to teams and executives.
• Continuously improve how the security organization plans and executes.

What we're looking for

• Significant experience (typically 8+ years) in technical program management, ideally with a strong portion in security, infrastructure, or a related technical domain.
• Proven track record leading complex, cross-functional technical programs to successful delivery.
• Enough technical depth to engage credibly with security engineers and understand the trade-offs involved.
• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence without authority.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including with executives.
• Comfort operating amid ambiguity and shifting priorities.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with security or compliance programs (SOC 2, ISO 27001, incident response, remediation).
• Familiarity with security concepts, tooling, and how security teams work.
• Experience driving programs in a fast-growing company.
• Relevant certifications (PMP, or security certifications) — helpful but not required.

At the Staff level, your impact spans the whole organization. You'll take on the largest and most ambiguous programs, define how the security org plans and executes, elevate the program management practices around you, and reliably land initiatives that would otherwise stall.
