Sr. System Analyst, Finance Systems (Zuora)
Why We Have This Role
The Sr Systems Analyst, Finance Systems plays a critical role in enhancing the integrity, security, and efficiency of our financial systems, with a primary focus on Subscription Management & Revenue Recognition within Zuora Billing and Zuora Revenue. This position is essential for aligning our subscription billing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting systems with strategic organizational objectives. Within the IT Business Systems team, you will collaborate closely with global finance, sales, and other business systems teams to drive impactful enhancements that support overall financial strategy and business growth.

How You’ll Grow
- Taking on increasing responsibilities and leadership opportunities as part of a growing and evolving finance systems team.
- Enhancing advanced system development, administration, troubleshooting, and configuration skills within a complex enterprise environment.
- Gaining expertise and leadership skills in collaborating across diverse teams and departments to drive significant business impact.
Things You’ll Do
- Serve as the go-to expert for Zuora Billing and Zuora Revenue, driving platform governance, system configuration, functional design, process and system optimization.
- Triage issues, identify required bug fixes and prioritize incidents in partnership with users, and third-party resources.
- Adhere to all aspects of the SDLC, including QA and UAT.
- Build custom solutions using in-app Zuora functionality (Workflows, automations) alongside API tools like Postman. Map data pathways to troubleshoot upstream and downstream data issues while designing future-proof data structures.
- Automate finance operations—including subscription lifecycle management, billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition—and drive end-to-end testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance to guarantee billing accuracy.
- Maintain strict compliance with internal SOX control frameworks and external accounting standards, specifically ASC 606 and IFRS 15. Lead SOX and ITGC reviews for Revenue and Billing systems.
What We’re Looking For On Your Resume
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Professional fluency in English.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in finance systems development and administration, with significant expertise in Zuora Billing & Subscription Management & Revenue Recognition.
- Proven experience with Zuora configurations and custom development, including product catalog, subscriptions, billing rules, payment gateways, and revenue recognition. Zuora Billing and Revenue certifications preferred.
- Experience tracing and triaging issues to their root cause across connected data flows between Salesforce CPQ, Workato, Zuora, and NetSuite
- Strong understanding of international billing complexities—including multi-currency processing and localized payment gateways—and hands-on experience integrating and managing Avalara for global tax compliance.
- Deep working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue standards and SOX internal control environments.
- Experience and understanding of Relational Database systems and structures, as well as data query and report writing.
- The ability to make sound decisions in uncertain and time-sensitive circumstances.
- A commitment to continuous learning and adapting in a rapidly evolving technological and regulatory landscape.

- Partner cross-functionally across Finance, Revenue Accounting, Sales Operations, IT, and External Vendors to translate complex business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and data mapping documents.
- Develop a specialized career in finance systems, continuing to enhance your deep technical expertise in Zuora and related financial platforms with on-going training and certifications.
- Author and maintain comprehensive documentation covering system configurations, integration flows, policies, and operational procedures to ensure long-term platform stability.
