Sr. Data Center Operations Engineer

Role

We are looking for a Senior Staff Data Center Operations (DCO) Engineer to join our team. This is a Hybrid role, reporting to the Datacenter Deployment Manager in the Network Infrastructure department. In this role, you will expand and optimize our global cloud security network by staging, provisioning, and maintaining high-performance bare metal hardware and infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to validate build activities, troubleshoot complex staging environments, and continuously improve deployment processes.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

• Provision new hardware and network devices in a staging environment to expand and supplement the global network

• Troubleshoot issues within the build environment and repair or replace server and network components and infrastructure

• Collaborate with maintenance, network, install, and platform engineering teams to execute and validate build activities

• Engage and assist in optimizing data center deployment processes and workflows

• Visit the Singapore integration center as needed to manage physical infrastructure and validate staging readiness

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain

• 7-10 years experience working in a hardware automation or build environment

• Experience translating cloud workload to bare metal platform requirements

• Deep understanding of various types of servers, network devices, configurations, and physical connectivity and their influence on platform performance

• Experience with Linux/Unix command line, BIOS, and out-of-band management solutions such as ILO, SAA, iDRAC, and IPMI

• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience leveraging AI-driven predictive telemetry or automation tools to optimize hardware diagnostics and data center provisioning workflows

• Basic scripting capabilities in BASH or Python alongside experience with virtualization solutions such as KVM or Proxmox

• Familiarity with build automation technologies like Ansible or PXE boot and documentation tools such as Jira or Confluence
