Senior Software Engineer in Test

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior (techlead-level) Test Automation Engineer to join our SaaS Platform Validation (Quality Engineering) team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our SaaS products. You will lead validation efforts, define test strategies, and work closely with development and product teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
As a member of our team, you will take full responsibility for the design, implementation, and maintenance of both Back-End and Front-End automated tests. for our Singularity SaaS platform - our largest customer-facing service, used by over 1 million users at our 15,000 B2B/B2G customers, deployed across over 6 regions and 2 cloud service providers (AWS/GCP), and handling hundreds of billions of security events a day.

What will you do?

Primary responsibilities include:

• Lead the design, development, and execution of comprehensive validation plans and test strategies for our Console and SaaS services.
• Collaborate with product management, development, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks in Python (Pytest) and/or TypeScript (Playwright) to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
• Integrate AI-powered tools and workflows into the validation lifecycle to automate test triaging, PR analysis, and reduce manual QA tasks.
• Leverage Generative AI and LLMs to optimize test case generation, improve test coverage, and boost overall team productivity.
• Utilize Docker for containerization to create consistent testing environments.
• Manage and execute tests in cloud environments, including AWS and GCP.
• Continuously enhance test strategies to improve coverage, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression and security testing.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes and methodologies.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in validation and quality assurance.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions to ensure testability and quality from the early stages of development.

What skills and knowledge should you bring?

Ideal candidates will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance or validation engineering, with a strong focus on SaaS products.
• Proven experience in leading validation efforts and defining comprehensive test strategies.
• Experience in developing and maintaining automated test frameworks in Python and/or TypeScript, Playwright (or similar, such as Java).
• Hands-on experience integrating AI tools, LLMs, or AI-driven testing methodologies into daily QA workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and utilizing AI assistants to streamline testing processes and automate repetitive tasks.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Proven experience with AWS,or GCP, and with Docker, Kubernetes, plus event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, or GitLab.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with globally distributed teams.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
