Senior Creative Designer

BDG architecture + design is looking for a high-energy Senior Creative Designer with a background in interior architecture, workplace design and/or spatial branding to join our London studio.

This is a senior creative role for someone who can shape both the idea and the story around it. Working closely with the BDG Lead and studio leadership, you’ll take a leading role in developing compelling RFP pitch stories and guiding creative projects from concept through to delivery.

You’ll combine strong creative vision with the ability to communicate ideas clearly through narrative, visuals, space and experience. Alongside client work, you’ll contribute to internal brand initiatives and help shape the broader strategic direction of the studio.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys defining the big idea, building a compelling story and bringing people with them—not simply delivering the final design.

What you’ll do

Creative vision and pitch storytelling

• Lead the creative development of RFP responses, pitches and proposals, working closely with the BDG Lead and studio leadership.
• Shape compelling pitch narratives, creative concepts and visual directions that respond to client challenges and demonstrate BDG’s capabilities.
• Translate strategic, commercial and user insight into clear spatial, experiential and design ideas.
• Develop high-quality pitch decks, presentation documents, moodboards, diagrams, visualisations and other supporting materials.
• Present ideas confidently and persuasively to internal teams and clients.
• Help ensure that creative storytelling is consistent, engaging and distinctive from initial concept through to final presentation.

Client projects

• Guide the creative development of interior architecture, workplace and spatial branding projects from concept through to delivery.
• Establish and protect the creative vision while responding thoughtfully to client feedback, project requirements and commercial considerations.
• Work closely with architects, interior designers, strategists, technologists, consultants and production partners.
• Contribute to project leadership, design development and the coordination of creative deliverables.
• Ensure that design ideas are developed into practical, high-quality outcomes while maintaining their original intent.
• Support client presentations, workshops and design reviews, building trusted relationships through clear communication and strong creative thinking.

Studio contribution

• Support internal brand and marketing initiatives, including case studies, pitch materials, social content, awards submissions and portfolio development.
• Contribute ideas that help shape the studio’s broader strategic direction and market positioning.
• Identify opportunities to improve BDG’s creative offer, processes and presentation of work.
• Support and mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and helping to raise the quality of creative output across the studio.
• Stay informed about design, technology, cultural and industry trends, using this knowledge to inform new ideas and opportunities.
• Explore AI and emerging tools responsibly to support research, visualisation, concept development and efficiency.

What you’ll need

• Proven experience as a Senior Designer, Creative Designer or equivalent within interior architecture, workplace design, spatial branding, architecture, experience design or a related creative discipline.
• A portfolio that demonstrates strong creative vision, spatial thinking and compelling visual storytelling.
• Proven experience developing RFP responses, pitch narratives and creative presentations.
• The ability to develop an idea from an initial brief through to a clear, persuasive and visually engaging story.
• Experience leading or making a significant creative contribution to client projects from concept through to delivery.
• Experience developing marketing and studio collateral, such as case studies, pitch decks, social content and portfolio materials.
• Confidence presenting ideas and articulating the creative rationale behind your work to senior stakeholders and clients.
• A good understanding of workplace design, interior architecture and/or spatial branding. Experience connecting brand strategy to physical space is particularly valuable.
• Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture and the relationship between brand, space and user experience.
• An understanding of technical coordination, building regulations and construction stages, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and consultant teams.
• Proficiency in Revit is essential, with knowledge of AutoCAD and experience using Enscape and/or V-Ray.
• Excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly InDesign and Photoshop. Experience with Illustrator, Figma, Miro and AI-enabled tools would also be beneficial.
• Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills.
• A motivated, organised and collaborative approach, with the energy and resilience to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• A proactive mindset and genuine interest in contributing to the development of the wider studio.
