The Safety and Moderation organization builds the tools that help moderators keep Reddit safe, healthy, and scalable. Moderators are community leaders and tastemakers; our job is to give them fast, reliable, and intuitive tooling so they can focus on cultivating great communities.

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong hands-on experience in modern enterprise engineering languages, technologies, and practices to help us ship high-impact features and improvements for moderators. You’ll work closely with other frontend and mobile engineers, along with product and design partners in the Safety and Moderation organization.

This is a high impact role where you will drive related technical & product strategy, operations, architecture, and execution for one of the largest sites in the world.

In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

The base salary range for this position is:
$190,800—$267,100 USD
