Part Time - Supply Contractor

The Part Time- Supply Associate position is responsible for assisting with the management of clinical supplies and equipment used in clinical studies.  The Supply Associate is responsible for preparing and shipping study supplies to study participants and study staff, maintenance and accountability of study supplies and nursing equipment, ordering of supplies, and inventory management.  The Supply Associate works closely with the Supply team, PI, sub-Is and study team to ensure safe and efficient conduct of clinical studies.

Role Type: Contractor- 1099

Hours: 20hrs a week (Part Time)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include but are not limited to:

1. Coordinate, collaborate and provide expertise in support of clinical studies
2. Provide technical assistance with clinical studies
3. Implement study specific allocation and shipping logistics for clinical/nursing supplies
4. Prepare and ship study supplies and nursing equipment to study participants and study staff
5. Set up and manage protocols in the electronic supply inventory system, as required
6. Perform study and nursing supplies distribution activities
7. Responsible for the proper documentation of the supplies inventory including delivery, receipt, dispensation, return, lost, damaged, reconciliation, destruction and study close out.
8. Ensure Study Supply rooms and Nursing Supply room are clean, orderly, organized and presentable 
9. Order clinical/nursing supplies as needed
10. Interact with clinical trial lab vendors and equipment providers to facilitate the procurement of lab kits and additional study supplies
11. Maintain proper functioning of equipment used in the Supply rooms
12. Participate in the orientation and training of new clinical operation staff and Supply managers or associates, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Qualifications 

1. High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
2. At least 1 year of experience in a CRO, clinical research, pharmaceutical, medical, biotechnology industry and/or equivalent transferable skills, preferred.
3. Supply management experience strongly preferred
4. Medical and scientific knowledge preferred
5. Experience in a fast-moving environment and comfort with being flexible and adaptable as requirements change.

4. Computer skills - Working knowledge of MS Office suite and Google applications. Able to generate business correspondence, create forms and generate reports as required. Willingness to gain expertise in the use of proprietary software.
