Manager, Leadership Development & Sales Training

Are you passionate about developing sales leaders and building the content that helps them succeed? The Manager, Leadership Development & Sales Training will lead the design and facilitation of a new leadership development track for Heartflow's sales organization, with primary emphasis on original content creation and hands-on leadership coaching. In the near term, this role will also support new hire onboarding, transitioning over time to a primary focus on leadership development as that track is built out.

In this highly visible and hands-on position, you will build net-new training content, facilitate leadership development sessions in person and virtually, and work directly with new leaders on their own development. Success in this role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales and Commercial partners to ensure that training content and delivery reflect real-world needs and business goals.

This is a remote position, with up to 25% travel throughout the U.S. required.

Job Responsibilities

New Hire Onboarding

• Support new hire onboarding as a near-term priority, partnering with the Sales Training team on program structure and facilitation
• Serve as a facilitator or co-facilitator for onboarding sessions (in-person and virtual)
• Track onboarding outcomes and adjust programs based on feedback and readiness assessments
• Transition this responsibility over time as focus shifts to the leadership development track below

Ongoing Development & Field Readiness

• Design and build a net-new leadership development track for new and emerging sales leaders — from needs assessment through content build and launch
• Facilitate leadership development sessions and workshops, in person and virtually, with strong group facilitation presence
• Serve as a trusted resource for new and first-time leaders, with a genuine interest in supporting their individual development, including coaching on feedback, performance management, and team development
• Facilitate ongoing training sessions across topics such as objection handling, call planning, and selling
• Support national and regional events (e.g., National Sales Meetings, Quarterly trainings) with aligned content and facilitation
• Gather feedback and learning needs from the field to shape future programs

Content Development & Enablement

• Own end-to-end content creation for leadership and training programs — original, ground-up content, not just adaptation of existing material
• Collaborate with SMEs to ensure content accuracy and alignment with training strategy, learner needs, and business goals
• Adapt content for live and digital delivery to support scalable learning
• Contribute to the creation of digital learning modules and interactive content

Field Collaboration & Trainer Alignment

• Translate training and leadership content into applicable field-relevant tools
• Reinforce messaging, competitive positioning, and objection handling in collaboration with Sales and Commercial partners
• Support pull-through of product launches, market expansion, and strategic initiatives

Skills Needed

• Proven experience creating original training or leadership content from the ground up — not only adapting or delivering existing material
• Experience in leadership development, leadership coaching, or new-manager development, with a genuine desire to work with new leaders on their own growth
• Strong facilitation skills and presence, able to lead engaging training sessions virtually and in person
• Ability to design learning experiences based on adult learning principles
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a cross-functional mindset
• Project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to translate business strategy into actionable, field-relevant training programs
• Familiarity with training platforms and tools such as Absorb, ACTO, Canva, PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Suite
• Experience working with or guiding field sales trainers is a plus
• Experience with training metrics, learning assessments, and performance tracking

Educational Requirements & Work Experience

• 8 + years of work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably business, education, organizational development, or healthcare
• 4+ years of experience in leadership development, sales/commercial training, instructional design, or commercial enablement, with direct experience building original training or leadership content (required), or 4+ years of field sales experience in healthcare, medical device, diagnostics, or related space with demonstrated leadership or content development experience
• Background in cardiology, cardiovascular diagnostics, or related clinical specialties is preferred
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate cross-functionally

The base compensation range for this role is $125,000 – $175,000 depending on experience and geographic location. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus.

For a candidate with more experience, we may consider a Sr. Manager for the right candidate profile.
