Position:  Java Backend Developer with Kubernetes
Location: Vadodara

Job Summary

Role Overview

We are seeking a Java Backend Developer to support the development, enhancement, and modernization of MDES applications. The candidate should have hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Kubernetes and be comfortable working in an Agile engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices components.
  • Support containerization and Kubernetes migration activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Implement application enhancements and region-specific configuration changes.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following established coding standards.
  • Develop unit tests and support integration testing and defect resolution.
  • Participate in CI/CD pipeline execution, deployment validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with developers, SDET engineers, and technical leads during sprint delivery.
  • Assist in application documentation, knowledge sharing, and production issue investigation. Mandatory Technical Skills
  • 3+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Microservices.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker, including basic application deployments, pod monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience developing REST APIs and integrating backend services.
  • Knowledge of Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, SQL, and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience writing unit tests using JUnit and Mockito.
  • Understanding of microservices communication, exception handling, and application logging. Preferred Skills
  • Exposure to payments or financial services applications.
  • Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging systems.
  • Familiarity with Helm and cloud environments.
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams.
